Yogyakarta - PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) managed to scoop up 4 awards in the Indonesia CSR Excellence Award (ICEA) 2023, in 3 categories including Best Workplace Environment, Best CSR on MSME Program, and Excellence in Green and Environmental Management, as well as the Best Leadership in Focus on CSRProgram category aimed at the Corporate Secretary of WIKA. The award was received directly by Yuliana Triwijayanti as WIKA's Head of Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL), on Thursday (16/3).
Some of WIKA's TJSL programmes are considered superior through their implementation which adopts ISO 26000 and CSV (Creating Share Value), including the WIKA Tanjung Burung Tangguh Village programme, Certification and Training of Foremen, Masons, and Project Staff, Providing Scholarships to Students in a number of universities, WIKA Smart Block to empower MSMEs, and Pohon Energi solar power plant (PLTS) products.
The award event held by First Indonesia Magazine together with PT Indonesia Popular Mandiri is intended to foster enthusiasm and encourage BUMN, BUMD, and private companies to continue to improve and reformulate their TJSL programmes, in order to maintain the area as a growth centre.
This achievement proves WIKA's success in running the TJSL programme in accordance with the theme of this year's event "CSR Programs to Support Resilience Strategies in Economic Growth Development in the Face of the 2023 Recession Issue". "It is WIKA's commitment to carry out TJSL activities as a form of corporate responsibility, in order to achieve Sustainable Development Goals. The orientation of the implementation of WIKA's own TJSL programme is oriented towards empowering the area around the company area including the community and the environment," said WIKA Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya.
