PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), through their Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility (CSR and ER) program, disbursed education scholarships totaling IDR 700 million to 301 high-achieving yet economically disadvantaged students. The symbolic presentation of scholarships was carried out by WIKA's President Director, Agung Budi Waskito, to student representatives in Jakarta on Monday (1/7).
This scholarship program is an annual routine of the company, benefiting over 600 students annually. It aligns with WIKA's commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education.
President Director Agung Budi Waskito emphasized that the distribution of scholarships is in line with the concept of creating shared value (CSV) promoted by WIKA through its Education Pillar, focusing on enhancing the quality of education for the younger generation.
"We understand that the success of educating the younger generation is a priority in realizing a better future for our nation. Through this scholarship program, we aim to provide financial support for education to economically disadvantaged families, enabling children to continue their schooling and achieve academic success. Ultimately, we hope to inspire them to become outstanding individuals associated with WIKA in the future," said Agung Budi Waskito.
