PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) Secures New Contracts Worth IDR 5.5 Trillion Up to April 2024. The largest contribution comes from the industrial segment at 41.71%, followed by the infrastructure and building segment, EPCC, property, and investment segments.
From the employer's side, most of the projects obtained by WIKA come from State-Owned Enterprises and the Government, with a payment scheme of monthly progress.
WIKA's President Director, Agung Budi Waskito (BW), stated that the new contracts obtained have met various criteria set by WIKA, both from the employer's side and the payment scheme. He is confident that in their implementation later, these projects will contribute to good business results in the coming years.
As a result of the strategy that has been implemented, it has proven fruitful, where the Company is able to have excess cash. Therefore, WIKA plans to partially pay off IDR 50 billion in June 2024 against the bonds of PUB I Phase I 2020 Series A, which had been extended on December 18, 2023.
Construction of Terminal 2 Hang Nadim International Airport Batam Officially Begins
Meanwhile, from the operational side, the Company also achieved a new milestone with the groundbreaking of the Terminal 2 Hang Nadim International Airport Batam project, which took place on Thursday (30/5).
The groundbreaking was attended by the Head of Batam Development Agency as well as the Mayor of Batam H. Muhammad Rudi, Commander of Lantamal IV Batam Admiral TNI Tjatur Soniarto, Chairman of Batam Regional House of Representatives Nuryanto, and WIKA's President Director Agung Budi Waskito (BW).
In his speech, the Mayor of Batam, Muhammad Rudi, stated that Hang Nadim Batam Airport would soon become a transportation access point and entry gate for both national and international passengers.
The Company has been entrusted by PT Bandara Internasional Batam as the main contractor in the design and build project for the development of Hang Nadim International Airport Batam, with a contract value of IDR 2.1 trillion.
In the construction process, WIKA's scope of work includes the design and construction of the terminal, airside, landside, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) installation.
Agung BW stated that this project is also a good opportunity for WIKA to contribute to delivering quality construction work in areas bordering neighboring countries.
