PT WIJAYA KARYA (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) pocketed new contracts amounting to Rp 21.44 trilliun as of September 2023, growing by 12.5% (YoY) compared to the same period last year of IDR 19.06 trillion.
The largest contribution to the acquisition of new contracts came from the infrastructure and buildings segment at 49.6%, followed by the industrial, EPCC, property and investment segments.
From the employer side, most of the projects achieved by WIKA come from BUMN and the Government, with a monthly progress payment scheme.
WIKA's Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya, revealed that obtaining this new contract is crucial in the Company's restructuring steps, as this will guarantee cash inflow for the Company. This increase also proves that WIKA is able to maintain the quality of its work, both processes and products, so that employers continue to entrust their projects to the Company.
"We are also grateful for the support of the community and work partners because with their support WIKA can still maintain its performance," said Mahendra Vijaya.
Projects included in the list of new contracts in September include the Karangnongko Dam project located between Central Java and East Java, the Gatot Subroto Underpass, North Sumatra and several other contracts obtained by both parent and subsidiary companies.
In line with the trust that employers continue to give, WIKA also continues to show efforts to realize its commitment to its work partners. It was recorded that in September 2023, WIKA had made payments of IDR 824.29 billion to 1,439 work partners, of which IDR 339.35 billion was paid to 1,207 work partners who were MSEs.
Increasing Irrigation Supply for East Java and Central Java, WIKA Starts Construction of the Karangnongko Dam
In September 2023, WIKA succeeded in adding new contract achievements to the Karangnongko Dam project, Bojonegoro, East Java and Blora, Central Java package 1 which was entrusted by the Ministry of PUPR to WIKA - HK - PP KSO.
In this project, WIKA has a 40% share with a company contract value of IDR 292 billion to carry out land excavation, drilling and grouting, concrete spillway structures, hydromechanical and electrical work on the Radial Motion Weir Gate.
The Karangnongko Dam project is intended as basic service infrastructure for the community in Blora Regency, Bojonegoro Regency and surrounding districts, in the form of building a new irrigation network and increasing the availability of domestic and industrial raw water.
WIKA Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya said that the construction of this dam adds to the portfolio of dams carried out by WIKA, which are spread across various regions in Indonesia, and functions to optimize water management in each region.
"The achievement of the Karangnongko Dam is proof of the project owner's trust in the Company's success in completing various dam and water projects. "That means the quality delivered by the Company is able to meet the expectations of the project owner, and this has always been the Company's commitment," concluded Mahendra Vijaya.
